Audacious Rewards FAQs

Audacious Rewards by African Bank is a loyalty programme that rewards you with points for doing everyday banking activities.

You can exchange these points for a wide range of offers including; gift cards, raffle tickets, merchandise, and other items at the Audacious Rewards store.

Yes, you can still redeem your current qualifying voucher. Vouchers redeemed in January 2023 will be valid until the end of February 2023, thereafter the voucher will expire.

If you qualified for a reward voucher on the previous programme in January 2023, you can still redeem it up to the end of the current calendar month.

Please be sure to redeem the voucher via the qualifying link you received, before the end of February 2023. The link will no longer be valid after 28 February 2023 and your reward voucher will expire.

From 1 February 2023, all your debit and credit card purchases, including swipes, will earn you points instead of counting towards the "10 swipe campaign".

You will no longer have a minimum spend requirement of R50, but will instead earn points from the first rand you spend.

Points earned from 1 February will be allocated to your Audacious Rewards balance and can be viewed on online banking from 6 February 2023. Thereafter, you will see all your points balances as and when you earn and spend them.

Please note that updates of balances may take a few hours to reflect on online banking.

You will simply earn points by doing your everyday banking, such as swiping your card for purchases or switching debit orders. For a full breakdown of your earning goals, refer to the table below:

You can currently access your Audacious Rewards balance through our online banking at https://ib.africanbank.co.za/, where you can view points balances, goals and your points transaction history. Audacious Rewards will be coming soon to our banking App.

To access the Rewards store, log in or register on Online Banking. Another way to access our Rewards store is by visiting www.audaciousrewards.co.za.

Please note you will need to log in to make purchases on the store. You will be directed to our online banking login page to log in.

As you browse through the Audacious Rewards online store:

  • Please note that you will use the same login details that you use for the African Bank App and Online Banking to access the Audacious Rewards store. If you have not already registered for Online Banking, please click on the "Register" button on our website.
  • Click on "Reset" if you have forgotten your login details.
  • Select the credentials you would like to reset and follow the easy instructions.
  • If you need to reset all your login details, please visit your nearest African Bank Branch to have your details reset.

As you browse through the Audacious Rewards online store:

  • You can view your preferred rewards with or without the intention of buying them. If you like the reward, add that reward to your Cart.
  • Once added to your Cart, click on the Checkout button.
  • If required, you can adjust your order by editing its quantities or deleting unwanted items.
  • You can also top-up your purchase with cash if you have insufficient points for a particular offer.
  • After finalising the payment details, click the Pay button to complete your purchase.
  • During checkout, you can use points and your MyWORLD Debit Card or African Bank Credit Card to complete your purchase.
  • When purchasing gift cards, airtime and data at the rewards store, you can only pay using your Audacious Rewards points and cannot supplement the shortfall of the purchase your MyWORLD bank account.
  • When purchasing merchandise on the rewards store, you need to make a minimum payment of 20% using your Audacious Rewards points and the shortfall can be paid from your African Bank MyWORLD account.
  • You will be prompted to enter your card details and to authorise the transaction for the additional balance.
  • We use 3-D Secure Services to process your online payment. This method is utilised by millions of people globally for secure online transactions.

All Points & Cash orders are processed exclusively in South African Rands (ZAR) and your MyWORLD Card or Credit Card will be charged accordingly.

  • You will receive an order confirmation by email immediately after purchasing the reward (i.e., placing an order) from the Audacious Rewards store. You will receive your email notification to your registered email address.
  • Please check your inbox and, optionally, the spam/junk folder.
  • Review the contents of your order and make sure your delivery address is complete and correct. In case of any discrepancies, please inform the merchant who is delivering your reward immediately.
  • You can follow up on the status of your order under My Transactions. For all questions related to the delivery of your rewards order, please contact us.

You can check the status of all your orders under the My Transactions tab of your rewards store account.

Once logged in, click on My Account and then My Transactions where you will find the status of your Audacious Rewards orders.

Due to the variety of rewards, the shipping policy and terms may differ from reward to reward. Please check the specific policies under "Merchant Details" for the respective partner and the "Rules & Restrictions" for each specific reward.

The price displayed on the Audacious Reward store is inclusive of shipping charges/any other charges for deliveries within South Africa.

  • A rewards cancellation request can only be done if your order status is "Pending". You can check the status of your order in the "Transaction History" tab.
  • To request your rewards order cancellation, please contact us. Once your rewards cancellation request is placed, the order will be assessed and could be finally accepted or rejected.
  • Once your order cancellation is successful, and the order is marked as "refunded"/"canceled" under "Transaction History", points will be refunded immediately. If points & cash were used, the cash will be refunded within 5 business days.
  • For physical rewards, please refer to the merchant return policy mentioned on the product detail page on the Audacious Rewards website
  • If the reward is undamaged, returned within the period specified in the merchant policy, and shipped back in its original packaging, then the points, or points & cash, spent to place the returned order will be fully refunded.
  • If the returned reward shows acceptable signs of use, a partial refund of points, or points & cash, will be refunded.
  • In cases where there is no issue with the delivered product and you still want to return it, you may have to cover the return shipment cost, if so stipulated in the merchant policy.
  • For digitally delivered rewards, returns are not accepted.

Retail and points prices for rewards offered on the African Bank Audacious Rewards website may vary according to the selected delivery destination. All rewards prices are calculated on a daily basis and depend on respective currency exchange rates (provided by www.xe.com).

Check the "Transaction History" tab with your order details. You can find "Transaction History" under "Menu" in the banking App or Online Banking. Vouchers and gift certificates (electronic or paper) bought on the Audacious Rewards website are not replaceable if lost, stolen, destroyed, or expired.

  • For Partner-specific terms, please refer to the respective "Merchant Details" page.
  • For any specific reward, additional terms may be displayed under "Additional Information" on the "Reward Detail" page.

All customers who open an African Bank MyWORLD bank account or Credit Card qualify to earn rewards.

  • Step 1: Simply log in to your African Bank banking App or Online Banking.
  • Step 2: On the landing page on the top right-hand corner, there is a button called Credit report. Click on this button.
  • Step 3: You will get to view your full credit report and credit score. You can select to have your credit report emailed to you or downloaded to your device as a pdf document.

The validity period of digital vouchers varies from merchant to merchant, however, the industry standard is 3 years from date of issue. Please review the rewards programme Terms and Conditions for a more detailed description.

Points expire 3 years from the date the points were issued.

No, every transaction will earn you points.

When a member qualifies for a reward, the member will receive an SMS (on the registered mobile number) that contains a link to the microsite and USSD code to access the reward. Members can choose to access the reward through either of the two (Microsite/USSD) options.

To qualify for the 10 swipes campaign reward:
Swipe the Primary Bank Card 10 times a month for a minimum R50 per swipe.
The primary bank accounts need to have a minimum deposit amount of R5000 which can be deposited once off or accumulated during the month.

All Instant campaign rewards are free! Only eligible members have access to the Instant Rewards.

For a campaign, you are eligible to redeem a reward only once. If you are eligible for multiple campaigns, then for each campaign you can redeem once.

Voucher validity is generally one month from the allocated date, but it is dependent on the voucher type. Please check the rules and regulations section of each voucher for more details.

Eligible members can redeem the reward either by USSD or microsite. If a member selects the rewards from USSD then the member cannot redeem again using Microsite and vice versa.

Unfortunately, you cannot exchange a reward once you have claimed it. Please be very careful when claiming a reward.

  • You can check your reward details on the microsite. Eligible members will receive the microsite link through SMS.
  • Please click on the "My reward" link.
  • All past rewards will appear.

No, unfortunately, you cannot transfer your reward to a third party.

All rewards are valid for 30 days from the date you receive the SMS.

Reward delivery depends on the reward type selected. Rewards that have e.g., voucher codes will be delivered instantly via SMS. However if you select the Cash rebate: the rebate is processed on the first business day of the new month and the rebate can take up to 3 business days to reflect in the Primary account.
